data-mm-id=”_t58h29rgu”>Here at The Big Lead we try to keep our readers informed of all the big, hard-hitting topics swirling around the world of sports. We're trained professionals who want to tackle the big issues. Today, we desperately need to talk about Trey Lance's hair. A photo is circulating the Internet that shows the San Francisco 49ers quarterback after a workout with incoming UCLA freshman Dante Moore and Kansas City Chiefs superstar Patrick Mahomes. In the photo, Lance's hairline looks like its receding faster than a glacier in Greenland. Spending a season on the sidelines with a torn up knee and watching Mr. Irrelevant take your job has clearly aged him. Pat McAfee needed to discuss it today. The entire internet came together to chat about Trey Lance's hair line #PMSLive pic.twitter.com/u868DeAOZW— Pat McAfee (@PatMcAfeeShow) April 11, 2023He's right, Lance always wears hats. Even during workouts. That night, the Niners selected him with the third pick after trading up to do so. Since that time, he's only played in eight games and thrown 102 passes. He has all the talent in the world but simply hasn't played enough snaps to know how good he can actually be. The stress has to be awful. His hair is certainly suffering.

data-mm-id=”_7e8ar57av”>Bill O'Brien publicly addressed the DeAndre Hopkins trade for the first time on Friday and in doing so he made things worse. The Houston Texans' coach should really just never speak of the deal again. During a roundtable for Texans season ticket holders, O'Brien defended the decision to trade Hopkins to the Arizona Cardinals. He said the franchise moved on from its best offensive weapon because, "he wanted a raise." O'Brien added that Houston couldn't have accommodated that request and was really excited to get running back David Johnson (who has a bloated contract) and draft picks (neither of which is a first-rounder). Here's more from O'Brien:””There’s a lot of things that go into trades. Lot of thoughts that go in.…
data-mm-id=”_srw3tjlde”>The Minnesota Vikings defeated the Chicago Bears in a rather ugly affair on Monday Night Football, coming away with a 19-13 victory. The win marks the third in a row for Minnesota, bringing them to 4-5. It's hard to believe they've ended up here after a 1-5 start that suggested the Kirk Cousins extension was a massive error and the notable Mike Zimmer defense is finally collapsing. We were all a bit too early to circle the wagons on Minnesota, it would seem. Dalvin Cook has found his stride and become the engine that drives the entire offense, averaging 155 yards on the ground per game over the Vikings' last three weeks. Cousins has reverted back to the slightly-above average QB the Vikings believed him to be when they offered him the aforemention…
